Welcome to Notary’s Online, a Louisiana-based Remote Online Notary service. By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into binding agreements to use our services.
2. Nature of Services
We provide remote online notarization services in accordance with Louisiana law. Services include identity verification, witnessing signatures, and administering oaths as permitted by law.
We do not provide legal advice and are not acting as your attorney.
3. User Responsibilities
By using our services, you agree that:
- All information and documents you provide are accurate and complete
- You understand the contents of any document you sign
- You are signing voluntarily and without coercion
- Your documents comply with applicable laws
You are solely responsible for the legality and enforceability of your documents.
4. Identity Verification
We use identity verification processes that may include credential analysis, knowledge-based authentication, and/or biometric verification. Failure to complete verification may result in denial of service.
We reserve the right to refuse service at our sole discretion, including if fraud, duress, or illegality is suspected.
5. Remote Online Notarization (RON)
By using our RON services, you consent to:
- Audio-video recording of the notarial session
- Electronic signatures and records
- Use of third-party technology platforms
You acknowledge that technical issues (e.g., connectivity problems) may interrupt or delay services.
6. Fees and Payments
All fees are disclosed prior to service. Payment is required before or at the time services are rendered unless otherwise agreed.
Fees are non-refundable once a notarization session has been completed.
7. No Guarantee of Legal Effect
Notarization does not validate or guarantee the legality, enforceability, or effectiveness of any document.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Louisiana law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from:
- Use of our services
- Errors or omissions in documents you provide
- Technical failures beyond our control
Our total liability, if any, shall not exceed the amount paid for the notarial service.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Notary’s Online from any claims, damages, or losses arising from your use of our services or violation of these Terms.
10. Privacy
Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana. Any disputes shall be resolved in Louisiana courts.
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.
